Future Chronicles - Flash Fiction Competition

Now that I'm officially an in-house writer at Future Chronicles, the guys there have asked me to help promote their competition.

Flash Fiction Competition

A call to all Science Fiction writers.

Submission guidelines

  • Your story must be about the discovery of a slick, black orb.
  • The word count is strictly 500 words - No more, no less. (Note: this does not include the title or your name).
  • We’re a Sci-Fi zine, so your tale must fit the genre. Horror is acceptable but any gratuitous gore, sex, or violence will go against you. Make every word drive the story forward.
  • No Fan Fiction, multiple or simultaneous submissions.
  • Use 12-point font size, Arial, Courier or Times.
  • Online entry only:
  • Closing date is 1st May 2014.
  • First place will receive a £50 Amazon Voucher and publication in the zine, and four runners-up will have their stories feature on the website.
